I’m not sure why they still have Joe Biden giving Wuhan coronavirus updates and they don’t just issue written statements, because every time he gives an update is a possibility for him to screw something up, as we’ve seen countless times now.
Every time they let him out and hand him a microphone, there seems to be an issue. In the past week, that’s included Biden mangling the Declaration of Independence (again), making creepy comments to a little girl, lying his head off about Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ), as well as tripping over his words and denying that Vladimir Putin was testing him with the spate of cyber attacks on critical industries. Not getting that he’s being tested by Putin is a real denial of reality.
But today, Biden seemed to lose all track of time, too. He seemed to believe that he’d been in office for 15 months already, despite the fact that it’s only been about four and a half months since he got into office.
“Since January 20, we’re talking now about 15 months ago, the average daily cases are down from 184,000 to 19,000,” Biden said. Yikes. He needs some serious help.

He also does that thing he did yesterday, too, saying “January 20” not “January 20th.”
But no, Joe, you haven’t been in office 15 months. I know it might feel like it, for all the disasters and problems with which we’ve had to deal since he was sworn in. As long as it’s seemed to us, it’s probably seemed really long for him, too. But it’s still only about 4 1/2 months. It’s definitely troubling that he doesn’t even seem to understand the measure of time.
But there could be a silver lining in this crazy: If he thinks that he’s done 15 months already, then let’s accept that. If he speeds up time that way, then maybe we can have him out within two years. It’s that mystical Democratic math that makes no sense and claims to pull money from out of the air to pay for everything. But in this one instance, I’d take that in a red hot minute to get him out. So I’m all-in on that.
