The Democrat infighting that has been going on between Senators, members of the House, and Joe Biden since shortly after he took office has been fun to watch, but on Friday it bubbled up in a very public way courtesy of a prominent Democratic Congressman who in the past has not shown himself to be prone to calling his own side out, at least not when the spotlights are on full blast anyway.
House Intel Chair Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), who on most days can be found spouting off wild “bombshell” conspiracy theories/talking points about Republicans that he oftentimes makes up out of whole cloth, was apparently so incensed by something he saw on television that he took to the Twitter machine to sound off against… Joe Biden.
In a tweet referencing the now-infamous fist bump moment between Biden and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman – something that sparked worldwide media outrage considering the Jamal Khashoggi issue – Schiff proclaimed Biden’s actions were a “visual reminder of the continuing grip oil-rich autocrats have on U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East”:
While I believe even most conservatives would agree with Schiff that America shouldn’t be dependent on anything from “oil-rich autocrats,” discerning readers would also note that one of the reasons we’re dependent on foreign oil is because of people like Joe Biden and Adam Schiff, both of who are opposed to American energy independence in the form of domestic drilling. In fact, one of Biden’s first acts as President was to shut down the Keystone pipeline system, a project Adam Schiff has repeatedly voted against in Congress.

And in other “Dems in disarray” news, more Democrats are going public with their outright contempt for Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) after he effectively nuked Biden’s climate change spending agenda on Thursday. New Mexico Sen. Martin Heinrich is now openly questioning whether Manchin should maintain his leadership position on the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources:
I’m not here to do the rare thing of defending Joe Biden and cheering Adam Schiff. I’m not here to applaud Joe Manchin, and I’m not here to criticize Martin Heinrich. I’m just sitting back comfortably and enjoying the clown show, complete with a bucketful of popcorn and a sweet iced tea in hand, watching as the feathers and fur fly.
