President Joe Biden has an aggressively sized PR problem following his deadly pullout of troops from Afghanistan, and with good reason. Not only was the ideology behind the withdrawal suspect, the way in which the Biden administration treated the removal was something that would make an onlooker question whether the coordinator was being bribed.
While the mistakes were plentiful, and the frustrations warranted, by far and away the most egregious of the deadly mistakes that left Americans wondering how someone who claimed to care about the futures of the American people could act in such a way, was the people left behind in the terrorist-controlled nation.
Thanks to the assurances that the Taliban is now carrying out their cruel and unusually brutal daydreams, it is especially heartbreaking to think about Americans being trapped behind Taliban lines. Without hesitation, the Taliban began to make demands as soon as it became clear that they would once again get the chance to take over the nation, and the offenses have only stacked up from there.
According to a report in Politico, however, it’s not just outsiders that have taken exception to the president’s actions. An administration insider said that they are “horrified” about the decision by the Commander-in-Chief of the armed forces to so strictly adhere to the Taliban’s demands that they left behind Americans and American allies, to be brutalized by Taliban that is (according to reports on the ground) actively hunting them.

“I am absolutely appalled and literally horrified we left Americans there,” the Biden admin official admitted to Politico. “It was a hostage rescue of thousands of Americans in the guise of a NEO [non-combatant evacuation operations], and we have failed that no-fail mission.”
Yet another official argued the case that the mission was as yet uncomplete because it wouldn’t be completed until there were no Americans left in Afghanistan. This point seems to be a crucial one, considering the United States history of never leaving a man or woman behind. It’s as crucial to our way of life as freedom of speech or bearing arms: the value of the one is worth the risk.
That is no doubt harkening back to the foundations of American government and culture that recognized everyone made in the image of their Creator was worth whatever sacrifices were needful to protect them. It’s leaving the 99 and searching for the one. Only in this case, it’s a lot more than one.
However, Biden doesn’t see it that way, as was evidenced in his comments last week where he said that “The bottom line, 90% of Americans in Afghanistan who wanted to leave were able to leave. And for those remaining Americans, there is no deadline. We remain committed to get them out if they want to come out. ”Biden doubled down further on the issue saying “I believe this is the right decision, a wise decision, and the best decision for America.”
While some that work at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. still, clearly have a conscience, for the most part, they have treated the whole event like narcissists being caught with their hand cutting the brake line, and none have given off that angry and caught message like White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki who, when asked by CBS News’ Ed O’Keefe about Biden’s tone during his speech being something that “seemed angry” and “Who’s he mad at?” replied:
“I’ll give you a different assessment of what I saw, which is that he gave a forceful assessment, laid out a forceful case to the American people as to why it was time to wind down a 20-year war that has led to the loss of thousands of lives.” Psaki continued, “And in his view, and I think he made a firm case of this, it’s not in our national security interest to be on the ground anymore.”
While it’s highly debatable whether it’s good for national security or not, it’s incredibly convenient that people become only individuals when it’s good for a liberal cause, and all the rest of the time it’s about the greater good. Illegal aliens are individuals, but Americans stranded behind Taliban lines because of the removal of the American presence on terrorist schedule, are just part of a little percentage that didn’t get out, or maybe they didn’t want to get out at all. The mind games being played are further evidence that the administration is scrambling, and they’re wasting precious time for Americans being hunted like sitting ducks behind terrorist lines.
