Embarrassing: Joe Biden Called out After Telling Second Whopper During Address to Jewish Community

President Joe Biden’s penchants for plagiarizing the work of others and making up stories (also known as lying) about his past experiences as he goes along go back decades to his time as a Senator as well as his previous failed attempts at running for president, and actually happen far more often than most traditional media outlets are willing to document.

Sometimes they even happen multiple times in one day, as was the case today. In the first instance, as my colleague Nick Arama reported, during a virtual address to the Jewish community earlier today Biden tried to paint himself as some type of 1960s civil rights activist, even though that claim has been knocked down by authors and even Biden himself in 1987, when he seemed to retract previous instances where he stated he participated in civil rights marches as a student.

He told another story during his address today where he talked about visiting the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh after the mass shooting that happened on October 27, 2018 where 11 people were murdered by a white nationalist nutjob:

What makes this quote particularly embarrassing, as Arthur Schwartz indicated above, is that the executive director for the synagogue told the New York Post in an interview not long after he made the statement that Joe Biden has never visited there, not after the synagogue massacre, nor before it:

“I remember spending time at the, you know, going to the, you know, the Tree of Life synagogue, speaking with them,” Biden said in a 16-minute virtual address ahead of the Jewish holidays Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

Barb Feige, executive director of the Tree of Life, said that Biden did not visit the synagogue in the nearly three years since the anti-Semitic attack.

In a phone interview, Feige, executive director since July 2019, said firmly that “no” Biden didn’t visit, even before taking office when he had a lower public profile as a former vice president and then-Democratic presidential candidate.

Biden has issued statements on the anniversary of the Tree of Life mass shooting in the past but a simple Google search shows that there were no reports of him visiting the synagogue at any point, so unless he snuck in there without anyone knowing (highly unlikely, considering he would have had to be surrounded by Secret Service agents and other handlers) Biden has just been caught making up a story yet again.

I realize that there are very few politicians who haven’t either made up or embellished a story a time or two during their careers to try and make themselves more appealing to voters, but the fact that Joe Biden does this so often speaks to something far more problematic, which is a topic I’ll leave for commenters and others to dive into at length at a later point.
